Mixed Reality games for Meta Quest, explained.
The quick answers before you put on the headset.
Do I need a big room to play?
No. Every game scans your space and builds itself to fit, so a small bedroom and a large living room each play differently. You just need clear floor for a few steps.
Is there a maximum room size?
No. Our games adapt to whatever you scan and are built for very large spaces too, up to 60 × 60 m.
- House Defender and Mixed Snow Worlds: up to 60 × 60 m.
- Elven Arrows: up to 10 × 10 m.
- The Last Galaxy: picks the best-fitting section of very large rooms.
Why does the game scan my room?
2Sync games use your real room as the playing field. A quick scan maps your walls, floor and furniture so the game builds itself around your space instead of using one fixed level.
Do I have to set up or build the level myself?
No. A room scan takes a few seconds, then the game places gameplay onto your real walls, floor and furniture automatically.
Which Meta Quest headsets are supported?
Meta Quest 3, Quest 3S, Quest 2 and Quest Pro. Quest 3 and 3S give the sharpest Mixed Reality passthrough.
Will Mixed Reality games make me motion sick?
Rarely. You move through your real room on your own feet, with no teleporting and no artificial locomotion, so most players stay comfortable.
Can I play sitting down?
The games are built around moving through your space, so we recommend standing in a safe roomscale area. Some calmer scenes may work seated; check the specific game first.
Can I play with friends in the same room?
Yes. Friends can share the same physical room in one mixed-reality world (co-location). Give everyone space and follow the in-game setup. Supported in:
- Elven Arrows.
- House Defender.
- Mixed Snow Worlds.
Can I play online with friends in different homes?
Yes. Each player joins from their own living room, and everyone's real room becomes part of the same session (remote co-op). Supported in:
- House Defender.
- The Last Galaxy (designed especially for remote play).
Co-location isn't lining up. How do I fix it?
Same-room alignment runs on Meta's Shared Spatial Anchors, which can act up. Try in order:
- Check your internet connection.
- Restart the headset.
- Swap host and client.
- Delete the MRUK room in Quest device settings, then re-scan.
- Still stuck? Ask on Discord.
How should I prepare my room to play safely?
You don't need an empty room; furniture becomes part of the game. Before you start:
- Clear the floor and move fragile items aside.
- Watch for stairs, cables, sharp edges and low furniture.
- Make sure the room is well lit.
- Set your Quest boundary, then scan when asked.
Will I see pets or other people moving around me?
No. The game only knows the room from your scan, so pets and people not in your session won't appear. Stay aware of your surroundings and keep the area clear.
Can I get hurt while playing?
Yes, if you're careless. You are still in the real world, so play mindfully: don't climb on tables, don't jump onto or over things, and stay inside your play area.
What if the room scan doesn't work well?
If placement looks off, try these:
- Brighten the room and keep the floor and walls visible.
- Avoid dark, empty, reflective or glass-heavy spaces; clear anything in your path.
- Add a few visual markers (even tape on a bare wall) so the headset can track.
- Switch to our built-in scanner, or restart the scan in Quest device settings.
- Still failing? Tell us on Discord with your headset model and the game.
What if I move furniture after scanning?
The game still expects it where you scanned it. Fix it by updating your scan: re-scan the room or the moved object. Putting the object back also works.
